Centre Pointe Vocational Diploma
The Centre Pointe Vocational Diploma offers a flexible and tailor made training course to talented students aged 16yrs+. Depending on the level at entry, the course can be designed to last one, two or three years. Upon graduation our course will enable students to progress into careers in the Performing Arts, or alternatively it will give the required qualifications to lead onto University and further training.
The Course Content and Core Subjects
Classical Ballet
Providing a base for many other dance styles, the ballet classes are designed to enable students to reach their full potential in this discipline. Both non-syllabus and syllabus classes are a central focus to the course.
Contemporary
These classes are designed to encourage the students breadth of movement with the use of weight and relaxation.
Commercial and Street Jazz
Jazz incorporates many different styles and each term the students will concentrate on studying and developing a different style, enabling them to expand their individual versatility as dancers.
Musical Theatre
An important part the training is Musical Theatre, these classes are designed to incorporate dance, singing and drama to develop the students as all round performers.
Drama
Classes will consist of Drama workshops, voice training and audition technique. Designed to encourage self awareness and build self confidence.
Vocal Training
An essential element of our students development, taught on a class basis to broaden the student the classes will focus on correct breathing techniques, voice range and elocution.
Pilates
Students will have individual training programmes developed as part of the course to encourage core stability, muscular strength and flexibility.
Physiotherapy
As part of the teaching faculty, a physiotherapist will work closely with the students to monitor progression and development.
Careers Advice
An integral part of the course is careers advice, this will be ongoing throughout the course.

At present we are applying to become an ISTD Approved Centre, this will then enable us to offer the following Teaching Qualifications.

Tuition Fees £5,250 per annum
Payable £1,750 per term
Funding
Centre Pointe Vocational College is an independent College, if assistance is required funding may be offered based on individual circumstances. Alternatively a payment scheme can also be organised to split the total amounts paid into equal instalments.
Auditions
Auditions will take place in June, July and August for entry in September 2009.
